Ceramic Fiber Bulk

Ceramic Fibre Bulk

“DMass is our fiber bulk made from highly pure alumina, silica and zircon sand. The ceramic mixture is heated in an electric furnace to temperatures in excess of 2000°C and the stream of molten material is drawn into fibers spinning. It contains fibers, each having uniform length and thickness. DMass are manufactured to use as feedstock in manufacturing processes or other applications where product consistency is critical. Dmass Manufactured on large in computer-controlled furnaces.

We work closely with our customers to select the right ceramic fiber bulk ensuring it is the optimal product for industrial insulation applications.

These products provide customers with consistent material properties. DMass are typically used in the manufacture of other ceramic fiber based product forms such as:

  • High-temperature boards, felts, and papers
  • Combustion chambers for commercial and residential boilers
  • Riser sleeves for molten metal casting
  • Fireplace logs and panels for gas fireplaces
  • Tap out cones for molten metal applications
  • Specialized vacuum-formed shapes

These bulk fibers can also be directly used as high temperature fill and packing material in a variety of high temperature applications, such as:

  • Expansion joints
  • Furnace base seal
  • Tube seal
  • Burner tile packing
  • Chimney insulation
